Description

The program gives co-ordinates of a point given by EOV (Uniform National Co-ordinate System) co-ordinates, or WGS’84 ellipsoidal surface co-ordinates or EUREF’89 spatial rectangular co-ordinates in the other two co-ordinate systems. The algorithm uses the relations which are described in the “Description of the Hungarian Reference and Projection Systems (Dr Szabolcs Mihály, Geodézia és Kartográfia periodical, 46/4,1994,  Budapest)”. The used transformation-standards are originated from the adjustment of the 1153 points of the OGPSH (National GPS Network) to the HD-72 date. Maximal error of the co-ordinates of the transformed points are within 0.5 m, or 0.02 angle-second. The program is made by Gyula Iván.

Use of the program:

Write the suitable co-ordinates into any field, than give ENTER. The program immediately update the co-ordinates.

Comments:

If the height of the point, the value of the geoidundulation existing in the point, or the height of the point above the ellipsoid is unknown (or uninteresting), write 0 into the required field (the base value is 0, too).
The digital geoid map is one of the products of the FÖMI, produced by the Satellite Geodetic Observatory. This map provide the determination of the value of the geoidundulation in any point of the country.
